Fit ==> Fat ==> Fit Again

My Journey To Lose 46 Lbs In 12 Weeks

 (free gifts at the bottom)

Vemma Before and after

244 lbs to 206 lbs in 12 weeks

That’s the story of my life.  In high school I was pretty fit.  My dream, at the time, was to be a Marine so I worked out regularly and I was also a competitive martial artist.  While I did enlist in the Marine Corp, I unfortunately got a medical discharge and my first career came to an end, but I continued to work out and even taught martial arts for awhile.  When I married my wife at 26 years old, I weighed 198lbs and was under 10% body fat.

Christmas 2011 – I’m not sure she could get her arms all the way around me

Things started to slowly change about 2001.  It was in that year that I started a carpet and tile cleaning company and even though that is very physical work and I even continued to work out, I also became best friends with Ronald, Jack and Wendy (think about it), because they were everywhere, fast and convienient.  I learned an important lesson that you CAN NOT out work a crappy diet.  It seems like everytime my pants got too tight I would swear that I was going to lose weight instead of buy a bigger pair.  There was even a couple time I would walk around with my pants unbuttoned, hidden by a belt of course, because I didn’t want to admit that I was screwing up.  Finally, I would get tired of it, puchased a bigger pair and swear this is the last time.  That exact story happened when I went from 32’s to 33’s, it happened again when I went from 33’s to 34’s and 34’s to 36’s.

Then in 2007 when the economy crashed, my carpet business took a major hit.  We lost over half of our revenue because a large bulk of our business was from Realtors, we ended upfiling bankrupcy and then we lost our home (with the 175k that I put down on it) and I moved my wife and 4 kids into a 3 bedroom apartment.  I had hit an all time low and became very depressed which led to my last milestone when I had to make a decision if I was going to trade in my 38’s (yep 38’s now) for size 40 pants.  This was about December 2011, five months before I would turn 40.

My pending 40th birthday became a new line in the sand.  I decided that when I turned 40 I wasn’t going to be that out of shape, low energy, broke loser that I had become.  Luckily, I found out about the a  Bod-e Transformation contest and healthy weight management system that was being released  January 2012.  I decided this was going to be the launching point for a new life and threw myself into it 100%.  Over the next 90 days I lost 38lbs of fat and finished in the top 10 in the  Bod-e Transformation Challenge.  My transformation pictures are at the top of this website.  As I write this it has been almost 90 days since the end of this challenge and not only have I kept the weight off, I have lost an additional 5 lbs and feel better then I have since I was in my mid 20’s.  I have about another 8 lbs to go to reach my uItimate goal.
